Why Not Wine? Hamilton's Wine Tasting Festival
Hamilton can be an incredibly fun place to be over the summer. But something I found was that it can be hard to find out about what is going on. Starting with this post, I’ll be putting out some blogs about cool things to do if you are staying in Hamilton over the summer like me!
Now, if you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, why not try “Why Not Wine.” This is a wine tasting festival taking place over Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th from 4:00PM to 11:PM at Bridgeworks right here in Hamilton.

At this first ever “Why Not Wine,” festival, you will receive a sampling glass and can take this around to exchange tokens (which can be purchased) for samples from various wine, beer, and cider vendors from places such as Niagara-on-the-lake and Hamilton itself.
There will also be live entertainment on both days. On Friday you’ll be able to see Wannabe: A Spice Girls Tribute, a Spice Girls cover band from Toronto. Then, on Saturday, you’ll be able to see drag shows presented by Hamilton’s own House of Adam and Steve. You can catch sets by Beardra, Karma Kameleon, Phoenix Black, Ultra Violet, and Kenadie St. James. There will also be a variety of participating vendors there over the two days.

The festival is a great opportunity to not only try out some wine coming from nearby regions, but also to see some local performers! It’ll be a fun way to start your summer in Hamilton!
Single-day tickets cost $24.99 and two-day tickets cost $40 (not including fees and taxes). To learn more, check out the Why Not Wine website or the Eventbrite for the event.
