Katherine Jarzecki has completed a B.Sc in Life Sciences from McMaster and is currently pursuing a B.Eng in Materials Engineering & Co-op as well! She is busy with school, work, hobbies and volunteerism but she managed to spare a few minutes to come chat with us on CFMU about her participation in Miss Universe Canada!

We discuss the challenges that she's overcome to this point and how she's feeling stronger than ever in this year's pageant. Katherine is determined and kind-hearted with a desire to be a positive role model and spokesperson proudly representing the Hamilton-Burlington area, as well as McMaster community! On MorningFile, Katherine opens up about Operation Smile, this year's chosen charity for the Miss Universe Pageant. We chat about the importance of advocacy and support for those in need as well as break some misconceptions about pageants and women in Engineering.
