Fatphobia is the stigmatization, discrimination, and dislike for individuals with larger bodies. These discriminations cause individuals who identify as fat to have negative experiences with the healthcare system, employment sector, and their overall societal interactions. Katie McCrindle, a graduate of the Master of Social Work Program, conducted interviews with female-, fat-identifying individuals to learn about how they engage with their bodies and their activism work in fat communities and beyond. Tune in to learn more about Katie's important research and how her works extends to the Hamilton community!
